FIFA 19 Reflection and Comments

We might be into FIFA 20 now, but that does not mean that can not reflect on what FIFA 19 was. I will deep a little deeper into how the game was for many people, as well as reflect on my own experiences in the game and how my team ended up looking like by the end of the season, and what I expect from FIFA 20 and what changes they can implement into it.

FIFA 19 at the start of the year was fun, it felt like an arcade game. People would be finessing outside of the box, scoring lots and lots of goals, but then it started to go downhill from there. After EA edited the game, it was no even close to what it was. People would stay on drop back, trying to not concede any goals as that was what was the strongest mechanic in the game. Score lines in games would go from being 5-4 or 4-3 at the start of FIFA 19 to being 2-1 or 1-0. They need to get an even balance in the current FIFA 20 game for players to be happy and to continue buying their product.

FIFA 19 was a hard earning struggle for a lot of FIFA players this year, including myself. It was easy enough to get a team to say, 90% complete. But to get that 90% to 94%-95% or higher, it took extreme amounts of time and or money. A big FIFA YouTuber, known as Nepenthez, also talks about this in a video which wraps up his Road to Glory series on the game for the year and his thoughts on how his year was for himself.

My team, however, ended up being quite strong. My team looked like this:

GK Peter Schmeichel (93 Prime Moments Icon)

LB Roberto Carlos (92 Prime Moments Icon)

CB Virgil Van Dijk (96 Player of the Year)

CB Paolo Maldini (95 Prime Moments Icon)

RB Trent Alexander-Arnold (94 Team of the Season FUT Champions Player Pick)

CDM Patrick Vieira (91 Prime Icon)

CDM Ruud Gullit (93 Prime Icon)

CAM Raheem Sterling (96 Player of the Year)

CAM Ronaldinho (94 Prime Icon)

ST Pele (91 Base Icon)

ST Eusebio (93 Prime Icon)

As you can see, a pretty strong team. Images of my team are just below.

FIFA 20 does not get me as excited as it has previous years. I have yet to play an online game, and it is already 2 months into the game cycle, there are only 10 months left before FIFA 21, which may seem like a long way away, but it will be here in no time. If I start hearing that it is rewarding people for their time in game, I may have to re arrange my time throughout the week and dedicate time to this game, but if not, I may have just wasted $120 on a new game I won’t even play.
