Top 10 Players of FIFA 19

There were so many good players in FIFA 19 that I had the privilege of being able to use throughout the year. Most of the players on this list I was able to get and put into my own team, but a couple of them I did not pack them, or not have enough coins to purchase them. This list is made up through my own opinion, and other people may feel differently about each player, or players not on this list.

Anyway, Enjoy the list:

#10 – Peter Schmeichel (93 Prime Moments Icon Version)

Peter Schmeichel’s FIFA 19 Prime Moments Icon

An interesting, and unexpected way to start the list off. The best keeper I used in the game by a country mile. He is here because he was my keeper, and never left my squad once he was in the squad. His height, mixed with his reflexes and diving made him the best keeper in the game in my opinion. He played 317 games for my club and I completed him by Icon SBC. Here is the video I did when I completed his SBC.

#9 – Hirving Lozano (92 Futties Winner Version)

Hirving Lozano’s Futties Winner Card in FIFA 19

Another interesting player on the list, Hirving Lozano. His Futties card that I completed via SBC become a match winner as a super sub. He was the most impactful sub due to his blistering pace. His record for the club was:

46 games, 13 goals, 14 assists

All of his goals and assists essentially came off of the bench, with a couple of first team appearances. FIFA YouTuber Nepenthez did a video on how good he is, and how good the value of this SBC was.

#8 – Diego Maradona (98 Prime Moments Icon Version – Didn’t Own)

Diego Maradona’s Prime Moments Icon in FIFA 19

Impressive player, but I was not able to own him as he was just too expensive to complete his SBC. However, using him in drafts and on loan, he made an impact, even though he was small. His pace, mixed with his high passing and dribbling really made a difference in games. Big FIFA YouTuber Bateson87 did a best possible Argentina squad builder which included this version of Diego Maradona.

#7 – Ruud Gullit (93 Prime Icon Version)

Ruud Gullit’s Prime Icon Player Card in FIFA 19

A late season edition to my team due to him being quite expensive, he made a massive impact in my midfield, especially deep in midfield. His record for my club was:

21 games, 4 goals, 3 assists

I played him as a CDM, different to most people. but his height and physicality was able to win the ball more often than not for my team. He had some of the best statistics of any player in the game, and here are his in game statistics on FIFA website FutHead.

#6 – Patrick Vieira (91 Prime Icon Version)

Patrick Vieira’s Icon cards in FIFA 19, I owned the one on the left

Patrick Vieira was one of the first Icon SBC’s I completed. I made the decision to complete him early as I knew he would make an impact for my midfield, which he did. His record was:

176 games, 8 goals, 11 assists

Similar to Gullit, he made his presence felt in Midfield as the deepest midfielder for my team. Vieira’s in game statistics are also very well rounded, similar to Gullit, and here are his statistics on FutBin.

and now we get into the top 5:

#5 – Paolo Maldini (95 Prime Moments Icon Version)

Paolo Maldini’s Prime Moments Icon Card in FIFA 19

Paolo Maldini was the mainstay and anchor of my defence for the back half of FIFA 19. He changed my defence completely, and I was conceding less goals because of him. He was so big, physical, and just out right the best defender in FIFA 19. CapGun Tom, a FIFA YouTuber, was lucky enough to pack him, and here is his reaction. His record for my club was also very impressive for a central defender also:

311 games, 14 goals, 3 assists, 9 yellow cards, 1 red card

One of the best and most impactful SBC’s I completed all year.

#4 – Kylian Mbappe (97 Team of the Year Version – Didn’t Own)

Kylian Mbappe FIFA 19 Team of the Year

The player I most regret not owning in FIFA 19, Kylian Mbappe’s Team of the Year card. He was just way too expensive, and did not have the funds to afford him. However, I was able to use him on loan and in drafts, and his pace, dribbling and shooting were his most impressive traits. ZweBack did a review on what he thought about this card.

#3 – Ronaldinho (94 Prime Icon Version)

Ronaldinho Prime Icon Version in FIFA 19

The best winger I used in FIFA 19 was Ronaldinho. Even though his record for my club was only:

139 games, 46 goals, 40 assists

Even though it was not great, he did a lot more things other than scoring and assisting. He was more involved in the build up play, more often than not, getting the assist of the assist. He was also one of the best players to dribble with, because of his high dribbling, agility and pace. Another big FIFA YouTuber, AA9skillz, did a video on this version of Ronaldinho and how he incorporated him into his squad.

#2 – Pele (91 Base Icon Version)

Pele’s Base Icon card was my most used player (version is the 91 in the centre)

Pele was amazing! Even though I was only able to get the base version of him, he was still so effective for me in game. I was lucky enough to pack him the Icon upgrade packs. Here is the video of me packing him, with a live reaction. The most impressive thing about him was that he was always involved in the game. Whether it was him assisting the goal, scoring the goal, or involved in the build up play, he was always there. His record for my club was:

553 games, 264 goals, 229 assists

Out of all of these players, he was the one I was most excited about packing throughout FIFA.

And number 1 is….

#1 – Eusebio (93 Prime Icon Version)

Prime Icon Version of Eusebio in FIFA 19

Definitely at the top of the list. I cannot see anyone else occupying the top spot on the list other than Eusebio. I had the pleasure of completing his SBC and obtaining him. I was able to use him for a number of games, and his record was:

215 games, 203 goals and 84 assists

This is a very impressive record, one of the best I have had with any player ever while playing FIFA. His most impressive trait was his shooting. He was able to score from any angle, while being able to put lots of power behind the shot, and more often than not, would score the goal. For a second opinion on him, check out Marshall89HD’s review of this card as he explains just how good this card is.

Here are some of the unlucky players to miss out:

Marco Reus (98 Team of the Season Version – Didn’t Own)

Trent Alexander-Arnold (94 Team of the Season FUT Champions Red Player Pick)

249 games, 0 goals, 35 assists, 6 yellow cards

Roberto Carlos (92 Prime Moments Icon Version)

102 games, 0 goals, 7 assists, 2 yellow cards

Memphis Depay (93 Team of the Season Flashback Version)

126 games, 49 goals, 40 assists

Virgil Van Dijk (96 Player of the Year Version)

10 games, 0 goals or assists

Raheem Sterling (96 Player of the Year Version)

5 games, 2 goals, 1 assist
